WINNIPEG – Premier Brian Pallister and his government have more power after passing new legislation. The laws make it easier to deal with the CoVid-19 pandemic. The province can prohibit travel to, from or in any given area through the chief public health officer. The Tories can also set fixed prices for basic goods and services and put a stop to price gouging. And orders can now be issued to prevent serious harm to people, property and the economy.
