WINNIPEG – Police have finally caught the man who was driving a stolen truck on August 24 and proceeded to drag the police officer trying to arrest him, causing him to be taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

37 year old Ian Thomas Shupena was arrested on September 22 when police were looking for another stolen vehicle and located it at the residence that he was in. He has been charged with:

Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon

Escape Lawful Custody

Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer

26 year old Jade Lilian Shuman, who was with him at the time of the arrest has also been charged with:
