Police Locate Missing, Non-Verbal Child Using Transmitter Bracelet

WINNIPEG – Police used life-saving technology to find a missing autistic, non-verbal child.

Yesterday evening, at around 7:00 PM. police received a report that a 16 year-old autistic, non-verbal boy had gone missing near the Grant Park area.

He was wearing a transmitter bracelet through Project Life Saver and was located after he had travelled almost 10 km.

The Winnipeg Police Service is grateful for our community partnerships and being able to able to bring a quick resolution to what could have had tragic consequences.
