WINNIPEG – On December 16th at 5:20 pm. , after observing a suspicious unregistered vehicle in a rear lane on Sheppard Avenue, police approached the running vehicle and found a man sitting in the front seat.
Officers instructed the man to exit the car, but instead the man ignored their order and began rummaging around inside the vehicle. Police opened the passenger door and repeated their order for the man to get out of the vehicle, to which he eventually complied.
When searched, police found brass knuckles and a folding knife on him as well as four outstanding warrants for his arrest.
A search of the vehicle revealed 36 grams of Methamphetamine.
36 year-old Kevin Raymond Yestrau has been charged with Possession of Meth for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, failing to comply with recognizance (x2), failing to comply with a probation order (x4) and four outstanding warrants.
