MANITOBA – The province has announced that it will purchase 65 replacement ambulances in an effort to modernize its fleet.

The purchase is part of the implementation of recommendations of the 2013 EMS System Review which includes a $5 million annual investment in 60 full-time paramedic positions throughout rural Manitoba.

It is estimated that the new ambulances will be in place later this year.
