WINNIPEG – The city’s real estate market is booming after a couple toughs months at the start of the pandemic.
July was a record month in Winnipeg. MLS sales hit 1,898, a 32 percent increase over a year ago. The dollar value was $596 million and that’s a 36 percent jump from last July.
The year-to-date numbers are five percent higher.
Catherine Schellenberg, head of WinnipegREALTORS, says they didn’t expect such a significant recovery from the drop off in April and May sales activity due to the economic shutdown.
