WINNIPEG, MB. – Two local business leaders and three Manitoba organizations will receive this year’s Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) Awards. The CME awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution in achieving world-class benchmarks in the manufacturing and exporting industry. Awards will be presented during Manitoba Manufacturing Week at CME’s annual gala dinner on March 22, 2018.
“Manufacturing continues to be a driving factor in our province’s economic health. CME works in partnership with manufacturers and exporters to help them excel at home and bring Manitoba-made products to the world,” said Ron Koslowsky, CME Vice President. “The CME Awards pay tribute to the people and companies that have contributed to the growing and vibrant manufacturing industry we have in Manitoba today.”
The 2018 CME Award Recipients are:
Roy Cook, Monarch Industries
Hall of Fame award – celebrating individuals who have consistently demonstrated visionary leadership and designed or implemented new or revolutionary products, systems or processes
Charles Balmer, Valmar Airflo
Pioneer award – celebrating individuals who began a manufacturing business in Manitoba and nurtured it into a successful company
FLOFORM
Export Award – celebrating a company that demonstrates excellence in expanding its market numerically and geographically
Clearline Technologies
Emerging award – celebrating new companies with significant future potential that are distinguishing their business through growth, impact and innovation
Red River College
Partner award – presented to an organization that has demonstrated a measurable impact on the growth, sustainability or mission of manufacturing companies.
