Reminder – Part of Pembina is Closed to Traffic

News

WINNIPEG, MB. – Those heading out to visit family or friends today are reminded that a part of Pembina is closed to traffic in both directions.

Northbound and southbound Pembina Highway between Jubilee Avenue and Stafford Street will be completely closed to traffic, which started Friday December 29th, until 4 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2 for installation of bridge girders as part of the Southwest Rapid Transitway (Stage 2) project. Construction will take place around-the-clock during this closure.

In a news release, the City of Winnipeg said, “Roadway access for Transit and emergency vehicles will be maintained during the closure.”

Drivers can use alternate routes such as Osborne Street, Waverley Street or Kenaston Boulevard.
