WINNIPEG – The Riley Family Duck Pond at Assiniboine Park is officially closed for the skating season. With the recent change in temperatures, the warmer weather is causing the ice to melt and the duck pond is no longer safe for skating.

This year’s skating season kicked off with the opening of the Riley Family Duck Pond on December 7 and since then has been enjoyed by hundreds of visitors to Assiniboine Park. The Duck Pond will re-open for skating next winter as weather permits.
