WINNIPEG – Two local photographers left on the weekend for a spot that will be in the path of totality of today’s solar eclipse.
Chris Mason and Ryan Lucenkiw will be in Lac-Megantic, Quebec just after 2 p.m. Winnipeg time when the eclipse hits its peak.
A partial eclipse here will begin at 12:54 and peak at 2:01, ending just over an hour later.
Some Manitoba schools are planning to keep students indoors during the eclipse to protect them from eye damage.
