4 Hour Standoff On Selkirk

WINNIPEG – A 25 year old man faces a dozen charges after a police standoff today in the North End.

The guy was taken into custody just before 11 o’clock this morning in the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue.

The suspect is accused of threatening two women in a house with a gun. The women were able to get out with the weapon, leaving the man inside the home and cops outside for almost four hours.

Officers, including the Tactical Support Team and the K9 Unit, were dispatched to the incident just after seven o’clock this morning.
