WINNIPEG – A stolen vehicle rammed two police cruisers on Pembina Highway before eventually abandoning it in River Heights.

Police first gave chase to the stolen vehicle on Pembina Highway at Point Road and with the help of another police car attempted to make a traffic stop. The stolen vehicle rammed both cruisers and sped away after the passenger jumped from the car and escaped. An officer also discharges his weapon during the incident.

The stolen vehicle was located abandoned a short time later in the area of Corydon Avenue and Queenston Street where it struck a fence.
