Today’s Strange but True News takes us to Huston Texas where a man was given a life sentence for bank robbery.

LaDondrell Montgomery of Houston pleaded not guilty to bank robbery. Montgomery’s lawyer worked to help his client stay out of jail, but his own client wasn’t very much help.

Montgomery was found guilty and given a life sentence for armed robbery.

Shortly after the trial, Montgomery’s lawyer stumbled across some new evidence that would exonerate the man, something Montgomery in fact knew but had completely forgotten: He was in jail at the time of the robbery.

You really can’t make this stuff up.
