WINNIPEG, MB – RCMP are investigating a suspicious death that occurred in Split Lake yesterday around 5:30 am.

On March 1, 2018, at 5:30 am, the Thompson Rural RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence located in the community of Split Lake.

RCMP, who were in Split Lake at the time, responded to a call of an injured man. When they arrived they found a 22-year-old man with life threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

In a release, police said they have arrested a 16-year-old male youth who was at the scene and was taken into custody.
