WINNIPEG – Police say officers used a Taser on a 25 year old man during an arrest early Monday morning in Winnipeg after a suspect tried to punch a cop.

The man allegedly approached officers parked in a marked vehicle outside police headquarters and tried to hit one of the cops through an open window.

The guy is accused of throwing a garbage can through the windows of a nearby building, entering the building and approaching the responding officers with a large piece of broken glass.

There were no injuries but the man from Garden Hill First Nation was arrested.
