Two Charged in School Break-In

WINNIPEG – Air 1 again proved crucial in apprehending two men suspected of breaking into a school on Brazier Street.

The alarm alerted police of a potential break-in to the school at around 2:45 A.M . Air 1 arrived quickly and observed two men leaving the school carrying bags. They tracked them to a nearby garage and ground units along with K-9 quickly located them. They were both in possession of break-in related tools.

Officers determined a door to school had been forced open and multiple items stolen, including medical and school supplies.

Items stolen from a vehicle on October 16, 2019, were also located among the stolen property.

28 year-old Preston Kyle Wood was charged with:

Break Enter and Commit – Place

Possession of Break-In Instruments

Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice X2

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

He was detained.

A 23-year-old male of Winnipeg was arrested for Break Enter and Commit – Place. Possession of Break-In Instruments and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 and released on a Promise to Appear.
