WINNIPEG – Police arrested and charged two men Monday who robbed a 33-year-old man on Cumberland Avenue.
A 33-year-old male victim told police two male suspects had robbed him of his mobile phone around 2:30 AM. The man suffered minor injuries, but declined medical treatment.
Police managed to locate and arrest the two suspects. One man provided police a false name but was later identified through fingerprinting. The other man had the stolen phone on him.
Police believe the robbery occurred after the victim came into contact with the suspects in the lobby of a nearby apartment building.
Ahmed Masabo, also known as Jordan Masabo, a 20-year-old man from Saskatchewan, has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Public Mischief
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x4)
Masabo also had three outstanding warrants for Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x5)
And Mohammed Yousuf Ali, a 23-year-old man from Winnipeg, has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
