Two Selkirk Men in Custody After Violent Robbery

SELKIRK – Two men are in custody after a violent assault and robbery in a parking lot.

Concerned witnesses called 911 advising that two men grabbed the victim from his truck and were violently assaulting him.

The two suspects then left the male victim on the ground and fled in the truck. Witnesses at the scene told officers that the truck had a blown rear tire and it was driving on the rim.

Officers located the vehicle a few blocks from the scene. The two males were in the process of changing the tire when they were arrested.

Nolan Walker, 22, and Tyson Parker, 20, both from Selkirk, were arrested and charged with several offences including Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Robbery.

The victim, an 18-year-old male from Selkirk was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation has determined that all three individuals were known to one another.

RCMP continue to investigate.
