WINNIPEG – The big name in ride-hailing is finally moving Winnipeggers round the city.

Uber, which has been delivering food in Winnipeg for a while now, launched its passenger service this morning after finally getting a city licence to operate about a month ago. The licence came after a long insurance negotiation.

Because of CoVid-19, several company rules are in place for drivers and passengers including manditory face masks.
