WINNIPEG – An unruly restaurant patron ended up with numerous weapons charges after employees asked police to help them get him out of the building.

The suspect had refused to leave the restaurant on Isabel Street and employees asked police for assistance. When they approached him, they noticed that he had a knife in his possession. He was placed under arrest and a further search resulted in the seizure of an improvised firing device designed to look like a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, a dart-like object that looked like it could be used as a weapon, $100 of methamphetamine, and a blank cheque that had been taken from a business.

29 year-old Adam Michael Edward Forget has been charged with:

– Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition (x2)

– Possession of a Weapon (x3)

– Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (x4)

– Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized (x2)

– Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

He was detained in custody.
