WINNIPEG – The door to door water meter reading program has begun in Winnipeg and runs until the end if August.

City staff will be visiting homes only on weekdays and between 2:30 p.m. and dusk.

Every meter reader will have photo identification, a hand-held computer and a uniform with the City of Winnipeg logo. Meter readers will only knock at front and side doors, and will not knock at back doors.

Make sure you ask to see identification before allowing a meter reader into your home.

The City requires at least one accurate meter reading per year from each household. Please allow the meter reader to read your meter.

If you miss our visit, a meter reading card will be left for you.
