WINNIPEG, MB. – The City Councils Executive Policy Committee approved the sale of Vimy Arena, the desired location of the Bruce Oak Recovery Centre.

The next big step is to obtain approval of Winnipeg City Council of which two-thirds majority is required to pass.

The Vimy Arena property would be sold for $1 to Manitoba Housing, then leased to the Centre for $1 a year for 99 years.

Winnipeg City Council is expected to vote on the motion next week.
