WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Jets have named Scott Arniel their head coach.

He came to the team in 2022 as an associate coach under Rick Bowness.

The promotion comes after Bowness announced his retirement earlier this month.

Arniel was drafted by the original Jets in 1981 and played his first five seasons for them, returning for second stint in the early 1990s.
