WINNIPEG – A 56 year-old Winnipeg man has been charged with possession of child pornography after a Winnipeg police investigation.

In late February, a provider notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the United States who in turn, notified the Canadian Child Exploitation Centre and the Winnipeg Police that child sexual abuse imagery was being uploaded to a social media site.

An apartment suite on Panet Road was searched on April 8 and several electronic devices were seized and numerous child sexual abuse images were revealed.

On April 15, police charged 56 year-old Wade Arthur Herbert with possession of Child Pornography. He has been held in custody.
