WINNIPEG, MB – A Winnipeg man is believed to have borrowed a woman’s vehicle to drive to another woman’s home and fire several shots into that home that had two children present He then proceeded to assaulted the woman who leant him her vehicle.
It started around midnight February 4th when a man with a woman he had just met at a bar in the Weston area asked if he could use her vehicle.
The woman obliged and he drove the vehicle alone to a home in the 200 block of Redwood Avenue. A rifle was used to fire a number of rounds through the front window of a suite where a 24-year-old female was sleeping with her two infant daughters.
The man then returned to the bar and picked up the woman who leant him the vehicle and together they drove to her home in the Inkster-Faraday area with the rifle in the rear.
After arriving, the suspect grabbed the firearm which resulted in the female getting upset about the rifle being in her vehicle. The man used the rifle to strike her on the side of the head and then took off on foot.
Police with the help of AIR1 found the suspect in the rear lane behind an address in the 600 block of Mountain Avenue.
Charged is Allan David Graveline, a 21-year-old male of Winnipeg, with:
- Discharge a Firearm with Intent
- Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Assault with a Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)
