WINNIPEG, MB. – Winnipeg Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman and tried to take her purse on December 8th in downtown Winnipeg.
Police said that around 7:50 p.m. on December 8th, a woman was walking in the 300 block of Donald Street when a man approached from behind and pushed her to the ground. The the man then attempted to take her purse and took off when he was unsuccessful.
Police describe the man as a caucasian, in his 30’s, with a medium build, being approximately 5’10” tall and 160 lbs. He was wearing a black touque with flames around it, a black jacket with “CANADA” written in red letters on the back and dark jeans.

Police said in a release, that surveillance footage in the area has revealed that there were a number of possible witnesses. Police are asking anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
