WINNIPEG – This is a vintage 1943 wooden propeller that was crafted by S&S Aircraft Limited of Winnipeg for an airplane that saw service during World War II as a utility and light cargo plane for Canada, the US and England.

Most old props become wall hangings these days but because this one was made for the Fairchild UC-61, an aircraft that saw the scorching heat of war, military collectors also showed interest in acquiring it.

This historically significant item sold on eBay for over $500!
