WINNIPEG – Uber Canada is facing a class action lawsuit after a Winnipeg woman says she was sexually assaulted by one of its drivers.

The suit claims negligence by Uber.

The woman says she fell asleep during an early morning ride last December and woke up when she arrived at her destination.

She accuses the driver of blocking her from exiting the vehicle, grabbing her and forcing himself on her by kissing her, only leaving her alone after she started screaming.
