WINNIPEG, MB. – Winnipeg Police have charged a 41-year-old female with several crimes following a search warrant.
During the morning of December 9th, members of the Street Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a home on Atlantic Avenue.
Police found a female inside the home who was taken into custody. The investigation has led to the seizure of a number of items including the following:
– A .410 shotgun with ammunition
– 92 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $75,000)
– 65 pills of pressed methamphetamine (valued at approximately $650)
– 3 grams of cocaine (valued at approximately $240)
– $2,220 in Canadian currency
Police said a 41-year-old female of Winnipeg has been arrested for:
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine (x2)
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance – Cocaine
– Possession of a Weapon (x2)
– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
Police said in a release that they believe that this arrest and the seized items are related to drug trafficking within the city.
