WINNIPEG – The province is reporting one death today from COVID-19, a man in his 70’s in Winnipeg.

There are 70 new cases of the virus, including 31 in Winnipeg.

1,206 cases are active, 29,563 people have recovered, for a total of 31,657 cases so far.

196 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 26 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 4.3 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 3.8. 2,290 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 519,892 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 888.
