WINNIPEG – The province is reporting one death today from COVID-19, a man in his 80’s from Winnipeg.

There are 76 new cases of the virus, including 23 in Winnipeg and 44 in the north.

1,555 cases are active, 28,576 people have recovered, for a total of 31,007 cases so far.

231 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 28 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.9 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 4.3. 1,143 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 504,682 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 876.
