WINNIPEG – The province is reporting 12 deaths today from COVID-19, eight of them in Winnipeg.

There are also 208 new cases of the virus, including 105 in Winnipeg.

4,506 cases are active, 20,519 people have recovered, for a total of 25,742 cases so far.

319 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 35 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 9.9 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 10.5 per cent. 2,132 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 432,839 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 717.
