On November 6, at approximately 6:00 a.m. a suspect went to a home on Magnus Ave. He fired a number of shots with a rifle into the residence which was occupied by several people. There were no injuries.
The next morning at approximately 6:00 a.m. the same suspect went to a home on Aikins St. While outside he again fired numerous shots with a rifle into the home which was occupied by several people. No one was injured.
Police responded to the shooting on Aikins and a K9 unit tracked a suspect to a residence in the 300 block of Bannerman Ave. The residents of the house were extracted, however the suspect was not located. The house was secured with units at the front and rear of the property.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., the suspect returned to the Bannerman Ave. house and ran inside breaching the perimeter and stated he had a gun.
Shortly before 1:00 p.m. shots were fired from the house at officers positioned outside. TST resources including the ARV1 were moved in to assist officers on scene. GP and TST members came under fire. Both ARV1 and a general patrol vehicle were struck.
After a lengthy stand-off police were able to apprehend the suspect at approximately 6:20 p.m.
No officers were injured during the incident.
A 16-year-old male is in custody and faces the following charges:

– Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Court Order x 2
– Discharge Firearm with Intent x 3
– Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
– Obstruct Peace Officer
– Disguise with intent
– Warrant of Arrest – Suspension of Conditional Supervision Order
