16-Year-Old Pulls a Gun on Homeowner

WINNIPEG – In the midnight hour Saturday, a 16-year-old with a gun breaking into a garage points the weapon at the homeowner when he is confronted.

The suspect broke into the garage at a home in the 900 block of Clifton Street. When confronted the suspect produced a handgun, pointed it at the homeowner and took off. No shots were fired and the homeowner was not injured.

Police responded and quickly located the suspect who was in possession of 2 guns, described as ‘zip guns’ and various break and enter tools.

Police arrested a 16-year-old man from Winnipeg who has been charged with:

  • Break Enter and Theft – Place
  • Possession of Break In Instrument(s)
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Use of Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • Possession of a Weapon (x2)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Fail to Comply with Sentence (x3)
  • Fail to Comply Condition Undertaking by Judge/Justice
