WINNIPEG – Students have only been back to class two days but the province has already confirmed a case of COVID-19 at a Winnipeg school.

It’s a grade seven student in Room 20 at Churchill High School. The school and cohort are being notified and cleaning protocols have commenced out of an abundance of caution.

Health officials say the child was at the school yesterday for a limited time while asymptomatic and was wearing a mask the whole time. They also wore a mask on a Winnipeg Transit bus. Times of exposures and the bus route can be found here.

There are no close contacts and no one has been told to self-isolate.
