WINNIPEG – The province is reporting two deaths today from COVID-19, both of them in Winnipeg.

There are 97 new cases of the virus, including 54 in Winnipeg.

1,219 cases are active, 29,378 people have recovered, for a total of 31,483 cases so far.

206 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 32 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.4 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 4.4. 1,790 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 514,357 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 886.
