WINNIPEG, MB – A 20-year-old man died in a collision today with a cement truck.

The two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 52 and Industrial Road in the City of Steinbach happened today, March 16, around 12:20 pm.

Police say that an eastbound vehicle, being driven by a 46-year-old man from Kleefeld with his 20-year son in the passenger seat, was making a left-hand turn onto Industrial Road when it was struck by a westbound cement truck, being driven by a 50-year-old male from La Broquerie.

The father and son were taken to the hospital where the 20-year-old died from his injuries. The driver of the cement truck was not injured.

RCMP said alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision and seatbelts were in use at the time.
