WINNIPEG – KidSport Winnipeg and Mark Scheifele announced the 2018 Mark Scheifele Golf Classic will take place Monday, June 25 at Niakwa Country Club.

“We had a great time last year and I’m looking forward to being on course with everybody again,” said Scheifele. “Due to the generous support of Porsche Centre Winnipeg, the golfers, athletes, and sponsors who support the tournament, we are able to work together and get more kids off the sidelines and playing the sport they love. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to work with KidSport Winnipeg in breaking down the financial barriers that keep kids out of the game.”

The golf classic is in support of KidSport Winnipeg and all proceeds will go towards paying the registration fees for kids from financially disadvantaged families so they can participate in sports.

“We are delighted to be part of this tournament that has allowed over 700 local kids to participate in playing the sport that they choose who might otherwise not have had the opportunity.” said Braeden Mueller, General Manager , Porsche Centre Winnipeg. “We look forward to seeing everybody on course and are pleased to support Mark and KidSport and help bring accessibility to sports to the kids in our community.”
