WINNIPEG, MB – RCMP in The Pas are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Saturday March 3rd.
Police said a pedestrian was struck on Highway 283, approximately three kilometres west of The Pas. Officers arrived on scene and provided CPR until EMS arrived. A 21-year-old male pedestrian from The Pas was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said it’s unclear at this time whether alcohol was involved in the collision. The 68-year-old female driver of the vehicle, from Opaskwayak Cree Nation, was not intoxicated.
