21 Year-Old Hit and Run Driver Charged with Failing to Stop

WINNIPEG – A 21 year-old Winnipeg man has been charged for a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian on May 15, 2019.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as she tried to cross Portage Avenue at around 11:25 P.M. The vehicle did not stay at the scene. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.

The suspect later turned himself in to police and was place under arrest.

He has now been arrested for Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Knowing That or Reckless as to Whether They Were Involved in an Accident Cause Bodily Harm and released on an appearance notice.
