WINNIPEG – A 23 year-old Winnipeg woman was carjacked yesterday (December 23) on Bannatyne Avenue at about 2:45 am.

She was sitting in her car when a man ordered her out of her vehicle. She complied and the suspect drove off in her car.

Police located the car 15 minutes later driving on Portage Avenue. They followed the car to Langside Street where the driver left the vehicle and attempted to run away on foot. He was arrested.

19 year-old Theodoros Kyriakakos has been charged with Robbery. He has been detained at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
