24-Year-Old Woman Shot on Selkirk Ave

WINNIPEG – a 24-year-old woman was found shot on Selkirk Avenue in the very early hours of Wednesday April 18th.

Police said the woman, 24, was taken to hospital in unstable condition; however, she has since been upgraded to stable.

On Thursday April 19, police arrested 2 suspects with respect to the shooting.

Joshua Michael Courchene, 25-years-old, has been charged with:

Armed Robbery using a Firearm x 2

  • Use Firearm during the Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • Possession of a Weapon x 2
  • Carry Concealed Weapon x 2
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possess Firearm x 2
  • Discharge Firearm With Intent
  • Fail to Comply Probation

Ryan Frederick Johnston, 28-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Armed Robbery using a Firearm x 2
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

Both were held in custody.
