WINNIPEG – RCMP said a 26-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning on West Road in Peguis First Nation.
Mounties believe that the vehicle, with a total of six people inside the vehicle, left the roadway and rolled. The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Wabowden, MB, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All five of the passengers, ranging in ages from 25 to 52, were taken to hospital in stable condition with various injuries.
Police did say it does not appear as though seatbelts were being used and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
