A 27 year-old woman was viciously assaulted and robbed by three men while she was walking in a back lane between Maryland Street and McGee Street.
On November 9 at about 11:45pm. the victim was approached by three men as she was walking in the back lane. They demanded her property and she was stabbed a number of times before she was pushed to the ground and assaulted further. The three men then ran off with her belongings.
She was transported to the hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to stable but guarded condition.
On November 11, 2018, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Major Crime Unit investigators, with the assistance of Central District General Patrol members, located three individuals in the 500 block of Sherbrook Street and placed them under arrest.
20 year-old Daniel Joey Bouchie of Winnipeg, has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, possession of weapon and fail to comply with a condition recognizance.
19 year-old Shaun William Joseph Cook of Winnipeg, has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
19 year-old John Henry Sinclair of Winnipeg, has also been charged with robbery, assault and possession of a weapon. He was also processed on two outstanding warrants.
