28 Deaths, 524 Cases

WINNIPEG – Since Christmas Eve, there have been 28 deaths in Manitoba from COVID-19. 21 of them have been in Winnipeg, including a woman in her 30’s.

There have also been 524 new cases of the virus, including 245 in Winnipeg.

4,448 cases are active, 19,012 people have recovered, for a total of 24,145 cases so far.

341 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 35 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 12.1 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 12.5. 4,238 tests were done since Thursday for a total of 415,859 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 645.
