WINNIPEG – The province is reporting four deaths today from COVID-19, one of them in Winnipeg.

There are 53 new cases of the virus, including 31 in Winnipeg.

1,622 cases are active, 27,817 people have recovered, for a total of 30,289 cases so far.

271 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 34 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.9 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 4.2. 1,373 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 490,879 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 850.
