WINNIPEG, MB – Four Manitoba students will have the incredible opportunity to win the prestigious Loran award worth $100,000.

Russell Cabeliza from St. Paul’s High School.

Hannah Levit from Gray Academy of Jewish Education.

Samantha Morin from Teulon Collegiate Institute.

And Megan Brunen from Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School.

They each have a chance to earn a Loran Award valued at $100,000 over four years for undergraduate studies in Canada. These Manitoba students are among the top 88 of 5,000 candidates determined on character, commitment to service in the community and leadership potential.

After national selections, which take place in Toronto on February 2nd and 3rd, the Loran Scholars Foundation will grant 34 Loran Awards. The Loran Award includes annual stipends, tuition waivers from a partner university, mentorship, summer internship funding as well as annual retreats and forums. If not selected as a Loran Scholar, they are each eligible to receive a $5,000 finalist award.
