44-Year-Old Man Dies in Snowmobile Collision

MANITOBA – RCMP in Powerview Manitoba are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man in a fatal snowmobile collision.

Police said on February 29, around 10:10 am, they responded to a snowmobile collision on trail 220, northeast of Great Falls. A group of snowmobilers were out riding in the area when they came across a snowmobile and rider that was involved in a collision sometime overnight.

Officers, emergency personnel and Bird River Fire Department responded, and the 44-year-old male snowmobiler from the RM of St. Clements, was pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP believe, at this time, that the man missed a turn, went into a treed area, and was thrown from his snowmobile.

RCMP continue to investigate.
