WINNIPEG – The province is reporting five deaths today from COVID-19, three of them in Winnipeg.

There are also 158 new cases of the virus, including 61 in Winnipeg.

2,928 cases are active, 23,014 people have recovered, for a total of 26,695 cases so far.

119 Manitobans with coronavirus are in hospital right now, 19 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 9.6 per cent. Winnipeg’s rate is 7.4. 1,778 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 443,683 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 753.
