54 Year-Old Stabbing Victim Dies in Hospital

On November 6, at about 6:10 two men were stabbed at a business on Garry Street. Both men were transported to the hospital in critical condition. One victim, a 54 year-old man died shortly after while the second victim, a 30 year-old man was upgraded to stable condition.

Police learned that both victims had a verbal confrontation with the suspect which escalated into a physical confrontation with the 30 year-old victim. He was stabbed several times in the upper body before the suspect fled.

A short time later, the suspect returned to the business and confronted the 54-year-old victim, stabbing him several times in the upper body. The suspect then fled in a vehicle.

Investigators identified the attacker and a Canada-wide warrant for parole revocation was issued for him as he was a subject of statutory release.

On November 7, 2018, at approximately 7:45 p.m., the suspect was located outside of his residence and taken into custody.

Kristopher Derek WATT, a 39-year-old male, has been charged with:

Second Degree Murder

Attempt to Commit Murder

He has returned to custody.
